Role Snapshot:
The core function of your role as Fractional Human Resources Generalist is to focus on administrative and operational HR tasks while supporting staff development, compliance, and organizational culture. The HR Generalist works closely with the COO and external HR partner to ensure all aspects of Human Resources are managed.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Ā
HR Administration & Operations
- Administer HR processes for full-time, part-time, seasonal staff, and interns, for the full employee life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, training, offboarding, employee records, and benefits administration.
- Partner with the Finance Director on payroll-related matters; ensure accurate execution and alignment with HR records.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Professional Development & Engagement
- Oversee professional development programs for staff, including workshops, training sessions, and performance support initiatives.
- Nurture and encourage a positive, value-driven work environment that promotes employee engagement and collaboration.

Compliance & Risk Management
- Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, including providing reasonable accommodation, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and assisting with terminations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended HR best practices, review policies and practices regularly.
- Collaborate with the Community Outreach Manager to ensure volunteer practices comply with applicable laws.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.

Vendor & Partner Management
- Oversee partnerships with external HR service providers, delegating tasks and leading projects to ensure timely and accurate execution of HR tasks.
- Act as liaison between the organization and HR vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Other Responsibilities
- Support recruiting efforts for staff and seasonal interns, including assisting with onboarding interns, ensuring orientation and compliance requirements are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills; able to build trust and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead professional development initiatives and foster a positive, value-driven workplace culture.
- Skilled in HR systems, databases, and technology tools; comfortable adopting innovative solutions, including AI tools, to streamline HR processes.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide guidance on complex or sensitive HR matters.
- Comfort using HR technology platforms; ability to adopt innovative tools to enhance efficiency.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelorās degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3ā5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role supporting full-time, part-time, and temporary employees.
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, and handling sensitive HR issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience overseeing vendors or external partners is a plus.
