Position Overview

SENTRYSIX International, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive-level financial leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance to support the company’s continued growth in the public safety, national security, and government services sectors.

The Fractional CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, helping to strengthen financial infrastructure, ensure fiscal discipline, support contract growth, and position the organization for scalable expansion, government contracting opportunities, and long-term sustainability.

This role is ideal for a seasoned financial executive with experience supporting small-to-mid-sized companies, government contractors, or security/public safety organizations who can deliver high-level financial leadership on a part-time or project-based basis.


Key Responsibilities

The Fractional CFO will provide strategic and operational financial leadership, including but not limited to:


Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Serve as the senior financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Provide financial forecasting, modeling, and scenario planning
  • Support long-term financial planning and capital allocation decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance


Financial Management & Oversight

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls and compliance processes
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reporting
  • Monitor financial performance and provide executive-level analysis and recommendations
  • Support financial risk management and mitigation strategies


Government Contracting & Compliance Support

  • Provide financial oversight related to federal, state, and local government contracts
  • Support pricing strategies, cost structures, and contract financial management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with audit readiness and financial documentation requirements
  • Support development of indirect rates, cost proposals, and financial reporting for contracts


Growth, Funding & Business Strategy

  • Support financial readiness for growth, scaling, and expansion into new markets
  • Assist with financial planning related to new contracts and operational growth
  • Provide guidance on financing options, capital structure, and investment strategy
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or strategic initiatives as needed
  • Provide financial insight to support executive decision-making


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Prior experience serving as a Chief Financial Officer, Controller, or senior financial executive
  • Demonstrated experience with financial planning, forecasting, and strategic financial management
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience supporting government contractors, security firms, or professional services organizations
  • Familiarity with federal contracting financial requirements and cost structures
  • Experience working with small-to-mid-sized companies in growth or scaling phases
  • Experience with financial systems implementation or process improvement
  • Understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and financial governance


Work Schedule

This is a fractional executive role, typically requiring:

  • Approximately 8-32 hours per month (flexible based on organizational needs)
  • Availability for scheduled executive meetings and strategic planning sessions
  • Periodic availability during critical financial or operational events
