This role provides a unique opportunity to serve as the strategic clinical leader for a virtual care platform, bridging medical expertise with scalable technology solutions. As Chief Medical Officer, you will shape clinical protocols, guide evidence-based care, and ensure patient safety while enabling enterprise-level adoption of digital health services. You will work closely with product, operations, and commercial teams to integrate clinical integrity into platform design, drive superior outcomes, and maintain high standards of care. This position combines executive influence, hands-on oversight, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring both clinical excellence and strategic vision. You will also serve as the clinical voice in commercial discussions, mentor clinical teams, and oversee quality and safety governance. Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic clinical leadership across product, commercial, and operations functions, ensuring virtual care programs meet high-quality, evidence-based standards
  • Oversee the clinical implementation of programs, guiding protocol design, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the executive clinical advisor in high-stakes commercial engagements, communicating program value to enterprise clients
  • Design and monitor Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) programs, defining KPIs and leading remediation strategies for clinical safety escalations
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate clinical insights into platform capabilities and enhance patient and provider outcomes
  • Align clinical priorities with account management and operational teams to ensure seamless program execution and client retention
  • Mentor clinical staff and foster a culture of safety, innovation, and high performance

Requirements:

  • MD or DO credential with 10+ years of medical practice and at least 7 years in leadership roles within virtual care, health-tech, or digital health environments
  • Proven experience in clinical program design, evidence-based care, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex medical and scientific data into actionable insights for non-clinical stakeholders
  • Experience with clinical informatics, AI-enabled clinical tools, and metrics-driven program evaluation
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to scale teams while maintaining clinical safety and standards
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, scaling environments with a balance of operational velocity and clinical rigor
